  The locking of threads.

  it seems like there is a little fire starting to burn here on the subject of locking threads.

  iv been on this board a long time and on average have only seen about one out of every 200 threads locked.

  those who have their threads locked take it very personal, that's understandable.

  I have helped lock a thread myself I am aware. Or gotten it deleted because it was too graphic sexually.

  I have also had a couple of posts deleted. Now while I have had some differences with liberals here including our leader I would like leave tonight on a positive note.

  I received several PM's today from very nice users here. I appreciate all of them. The one PM I did not expect was from Simon. He told me that he had deleted one of my posts and had taken care of some business. So even though I've disagreed with Simon (and will many times in the future) he didn't let our differences keep him from doing what he felt was right.

  So he deleted a user that sent a couple of PM's that were pretty low class. As far as I'm concerned I don't care if he was deleted or not (I don't need to be protected) but Simon did what he felt was right. I'm certain that the PM's weren't the only reason for the deletion but..........

  So do not think of this as a sign of weakness but thank you Simon. I look forward to disagreeing with you soon. But not tonight.

  Tonight I need to quit screwing around and finish a paper due at 10am.

  that made me wonder though how do you view yourself and how do other people view you?

  i ask because i'm taking my 19 y/o son to a concert he's doing in sydney, australia.. i'm not going to the concert, i'll be spending time with friends shopping and dining out.

  but i was just wondering what my son can expect from a mm concert.

  i was reading a book on celtic beliefs.

  and as the western beliefs have the zodiac; and the asians have the 12 animals who came to buddha, so the celts believe different trees represent basic characteristics in humans.. so ok which kind of tree would you be ?

  If I could pick one for myself it would be one of those windblown cypress tress you find on the California coast. Trying hard to stand fast but having the wind form my shape.

  I have friends who stay in them and my aunt is in one too. I don't get it myself. Lack of self esteem has to be at the top of the list of reasons to stay in one.

  I get an ounce of grief or control from someone and I'm gone.

  Last Assembly!

  just wanted to let everyone know that today, piph and i attended the last day of our last borg assembly ever!

  the feeling walking out was wonderful.

  my heart kind of sank a little when i remembered that i still had to attend meetings for a little over a month.

  Good luck with your fade. Just this week I found out a girl from my old hall is doing the fade. She has it tough as she's currently a pioneer that isn't getting her hours in. So she gets lots of attention right now.

  They are not some poor neighborhood church. They have tons of money. They'll be around. They'll adjust beliefs as necessary to stay in business, as they always have done.
